A wholly new take on my midlength quiver - Plastron is a narrower outline than my classics, with a long and low rocker for all out speed. Considerably less nose area than the FM or Lizzy - Plastron is in and under the lip quicker, with less thought on the drop and a tighter or more aggressive line; Less tact, more ease.
The broader surface area under the back foot, though, provides a ton of speed with minimal wave - So whether it’s cooking or blown, these things make the most of the conditions at hand. If I had to sum up the benefits of this board underfoot, I’d define it as thoughtless, immediate speed.
This design packs plenty of volume in the deck shape, but tapers to a thin foil in the, tail and rails. Beaky in the nose, with a broad and flat deck. This foil is made for speed, while the bottom shape is made to handle it. Flat panels flanking a single to deep double right under your back foot, this is a hyper useful bottom shape which provides ample planing speed and control.
Offered as a Twinzer, as well as a quad option for all y’all long-quad-aholics (I see you…). The Twinzer option allows for both twin and twinzerzer approaches, as the main fin location is the same in both applications.
Fin suggestions: Plastron Twinzer (Single Foiled), FM Twinzer (Larger, double foiled), or Lovelace Quad from True Ames.
